Bo-kaap is an area in Cape Town ,South Africa formerly known as Malay Quarter.Bo-Kaap is traditionally a multicultural area. The area is known for its brightly coloured homes and cobble stoned streets.

Visitors are able to see the Bo-Kaap neighbourhood by foot while also gaining insight of the districts vivid history, culture and scenery on this free walking tour.Trips depart three times a day each day.On the tour  ,guests get an overview of Bo-kaap best known landmarks ,including the colourful houses ,historical restaurants and shops.

It is speculated that the colourful houses came about when  Bo-Kaap community residents bought their houses from the city council and as owners then decorated their own homes with bright colours, even more so since after Apartheid as an expression of long-subdued individualism and a celebration of their new-found freedom.

We cant wait to go to this place  and take as many pictures as we can.
